Welcome to our website. Our band, Jazz a la Carte is a collective of experienced, versatile and talented professional jazz musicians - see bottom of the page. Based in London, we're happy to travel further afield and are available for weddings, private parties and corporate events.

Unlike other bands, you get to decide what setup you want on the day. We offer a very flexible line-up ranging from piano solo to duos, trios, quartets and bigger ensembles according to the atmosphere of your party. Our most popular combinations are piano solo/duo with sax or vocals and quartet (piano, bass, drums with either sax or vocals). However you are welcome to add as many instruments as you like from guitar to clarinet, trumpet to violin and banjo!

You also get to choose the style of Jazz music you want us to play. Trad-Jazz for afternoon drinks in the garden, ballads for the dinner and Swing to take you on the dance floor? We play a lot of different tunes to perfectly set the best mood to your party. Our huge repertoire of jazz standards provides many different styles featuring the music of many famous jazz composers and artists. Click here to listen to some of our demos.

When not playing for the Queen (yes we did, also we only found out afterwards that she was there!) or the Chelsea Football Club (i hear they lost the following day, nothing to do with us surely...), James and his musicians are busy recording and performing original Jazz material.
